ITIRA permanent-magnet shakers are used as portable and stationary systems to simulate environmental conditions. Typical applications include structure analyses, sensor calibration and testing smaller sub-assemblies.

The sturdy design of shakers ensures a long service lifetime. TIRA shakers are distinguished by such features as high lateral and axial stiffness and come in lightweight construction to meet the requirements of industrial users. New rare-earth magnets have been added to the conventional AlNiCo magnets used so far. So, a weight reduction from 30 kg to 10 kg could be achieved, ensuring ease of handling of the shakers particularly in mobile applications.

These shakers have stood the test in such applications as environmental test labs and colleges as well as industrial production lines both for component testing and calibration. These complete systems enable the users to perform tests both in accordance with national and international standards such as DIN, ISO, BS, MIL, IEC and ASTM.

TIRA shakers reproduce ambient conditions to investigate dynamic endurance and reliability in all fields of vibration testing.

TIRA shakers have been designed for long-time operation and are distinguished by high transverse vibration resistance and high axial stiffness. The electrodynamic shaker is supported in a rugged revolving frame for excitation in vertical and horizontal direction. The nominal vibration travel is automatically achieved by pneumatic and automatic load compensation even for heavy test loads. (Long Stroke-Shakers use an electronic load compensation)

In standard configuration, the frame is provided with vibration isolators to reduce transfer of vibrations to installation site to a minimum extent. In most cases, no extra foundation is needed. The shaker is cooled by a maintenance-free fan. The cooling air is sucked through a coarse filter unit.

TIRA shakers, amplifiers, and vibration control systems form a complete test system enabling the users to document their product quality in accordance with international standards (such as DIN, ISO, BS, MIL, IEC, ASTM).

TIRA shakers reproduce ambient conditions to investigate dynamic endurance and reliability in all fields of vibration testing. Sine, random, mixed-mode, and shock tests can be carried out under lab conditions, using complete vibration testing systems. These systems are indispensable for quality assurance, research, and development.

TIRA shakers have been designed for long-time operation and are distinguished by high transverse vibration resistance and high axial stiffness. The electrodynamic shaker is characterised by rugged design and high stability. The shaker is pivotally mounted on a rugged frame and can be operated both in vertical and horizontal direction. The nominal displacement travel is automatically achieved by pneumatic and automatic load compensation even in case of heavy test loads.

The TIRA "AIT" system - built into the frame - provides integrated vibration isolation for vertical and horizontal body operation. It ensures optimal vibration isolation even at low frequencies and precise guiding of shaker body in direction of excitation. The 55 kN vibration system with 440 mm armature by TIRA can optionally reach a maximum displacement of 76.2 mm (3 inches) to meet the always increasing requirements of the industry. The shaker is cooled by a maintenance-free high pressure blower.

TIRA shakers, amplifiers, and vibration control systems form a complete test system enabling the users to document their product quality in accordance with international standards (such as DIN, ISO, BS, MIL, IEC,ASTM).

Tira water-cooled shakers are hydrostatically guided and cooled down by a closed-loop water cooling system. The external cooling unit also provides the guidance lubricant for the hydrostatic bearings which enable a frictionless guidance of the vibrating armature. Water-cooled vibration test systems have the advantage of generating very high forces to test heavy payloads at high acceleration. Payloads of up to 2500 kg are possible.
