TIRA offers a new series of analogue amplifiers with a rated sine output power of up to 1200 VA. The amplifiers control all permanent-magnet excited shakers as well as shakers in association with an internal field excitation of up to 1000 N. These amplifiers equipped with highly-advanced MOSFET transistors can be run optionally in current or voltage mode.

The amplifiers are user-friendly because of their backlit multifunctional screen display. A safety management system monitors functions such as temperature, overcurrent, overtravel and prevents destruction of the amplifier in case of short circuit. Outstanding features are a high signal-to-noise ratio and a low distortion factor.

Selectable operating voltage ranges and current range limitation are preconditions for the fact that TIRA amplifiers can be readily adapted to all shakers being available at the market. Optionally the amplifiers are designed for connecting the electronic TMC zero-adjustment control. Thus, a load compensation to achieve the nominal vibration travel is ensured even with small long-stroke shakers.

Digital TIRA power amplifiers feature cascading modules designed according to the latest technology developments. Highly-advanced MOSFET power transistors combined with complete module management ensure high output power ratings at utmost safety.

Module status with current indication, percentage modulation of the modules and error diagnostics are visualised on the LCD touchscreen display. A safety monitoring feature protects the amplifier from short circuits and, consequently, from potential destruction of modules. Error indication and system parameters display in plain text are to enhance availability owing to faster diagnostics. The high clock frequency of 82 kHz realises test frequencies of up to 4000 Hz without any power drop.

Cascading of modules allows an amplifier design up to 405 kVA at low floor space requirements.

The output voltage of modules can be varied so that TIRA amplifiers can be adapted to almost all shakers available at the market.
